Eskom has once again caught South Africans off-guard with their latest implementation of load shedding (which has now transpired from Stage 2 to Stage 4). With the Covid-19 Pandemic not having left us yet, many are still working from home.

At Trojan Security, we value your safety. We would like to urge you to take extra caution during hours of load shedding by following some helpful safety tips:

  1. Test your alarm system. Ensure you have tested your alarm system, before the power goes out.
  2. Consider replacing your standard battery with a gel cell battery as these perform better during load shedding.
  3. It’s always a good idea to place battery-operated spot lights in strategic places locations so that visibility is retained.
  4. Most importantly, remain vigilant. Criminals often use power outages as an opportunity to remain undetected.
