Enable Power Failure Notifications to Our Control Room from your Ajax Hub
To ensure your Ajax alarm system keeps you and our control room informed during a power or mains failure, you can enable notifications to our Central Monitoring Station (CMS). This feature ensures we’re alerted promptly if your Ajax Hub loses external power, allowing us to take appropriate action to maintain your security.
How to Enable Power Failure Notifications
Follow these steps in the Ajax app to configure notifications to our control room:
- Open the Ajax App: Log in to your account on your smartphone or tablet.
- Select Your Hub: If you have multiple hubs, choose the relevant one.
- Access Settings: Tap the gear icon to go to Hub Settings.
- Navigate to Notifications: Go to Users > Select your user profile > Notifications Settings.
- Enable Power Loss Alerts: Ensure Receive notifications of power outage at the objects is enabled. This ensures power loss events are sent to our CMS.
- Optional Delay Setting: To avoid unnecessary alerts for brief outages, set a delay (1 minute to 1 hour) for power loss notifications (available on hubs with OS Malevich 2.22 or later, except Hub (2G) Jeweller):
- Go to Service > Delaying notifications of external power loss.
- Select your preferred delay time and save.
- Save Changes: Tap Back to apply the settings.
Important Notes
- Ensure your hub is connected to our CMS for notifications to reach us. Contact us if you’re unsure about your setup.
- Your hub’s backup battery provides up to 16 hours of operation during a power outage, and we’ll be notified when it switches to battery mode.
- Keep your Ajax app updated to access the latest features and ensure compatibility.
